Rear Turn Signal Bulb Confusion

Trying to replace my rear turn signal bulb with no dealer nearby. Ever search that I do shows that my car takes an amber bulb with NO offset in the pins, but mine does have an offset.

Id like to find a number for a bulb that would be available from someone other than BMW. Does anyone have the correct sylvania, or Phillips, or whatever, number for that bulb?

Rear Turn Signal Bulb Confusion

Have you looked at an 1156A? Should be a number pressed in to the metal of the bulb, just belo the glass, check that and cross reference in google and you may get lucky [emoji106]

I have some 1156A's but they don’t have the offset pins. I went into Oreillys tonight though and found some 21w amber bulbs with offset pins. They fit and work, hopefully they’re OK.

I use Sylvania bulb guide:

https://www.sylvania-automotive.com/apps/vlrg-us/Vlrg/

Once you enter the vehicle info, click on "Full Vehicle Bulb List".

In your case, rear turn signal is likely 7506A (vs 7507).

The difference between 1156 and 7506 was discussed in this thread:

Is a 1156 = 7506 bulb?.

Thanks for the link to the guide, that’s very helpful. Actually mine takes the 7507. Apparently that’s the designation for the offset pins according to that guide. That’s exactly what I found tonight at the parts store. What through me was that several internet searches all turned up bulb with non-offset pins for my year, but that’s wrong.

Thanks for the help.

I see that now, I (somehow) read that as yours we're the non-offset, doh!
