Need help identifining what radio I had in my X

I had a kenwood radio in my X5 when I bought it. So I couldnt reset my gauge cluster setttings or use my steering wheel controls, hands free phone, etc.

I bought a 16:9 nav screen, but it appears it will not fit. different connections, on the back. Car connections look like the business radio/cd connections.

1 - Can I install this radio nav unit in my existing location? is their a harness to adapt it?

2 - If 1 is not feasible, what factory radio can I get to put in. Just want it all back to stock or at least upgrade to newer factory units.

If I missed a post searching, i apologize. please post what you have saved.

You are going to need a lot more than the factory display that you are showing. That is the factory GPS screen and you need all the wiring an Navigation DVD module and GPS antenna. The reason it doesn't fit is your X was built with the Mid Basis system and the dash would need to be trimmed.

Best option now would be to go with an Android based system and the iBus app for retaining the factory gauge cluster settings and steering wheel controls. I recommend the AVIN Avant-4 as it will plug and play to your existing wiring but you will still need to trim some of the dash brackets to fit. Many of us have done it, you might search Android head unit to see your options.

Look up in real OEM from your vin. Any luck the actual radio parts are still in the car
