Your right on all counts. Can you share what tool you are using? I am vacillating over a couple different styles/suppliers. Thanks!

The subframe bushings more of annoyance than anything my car's been clunking for years I finally got the tool and bushings yesterday.

Tensioner. Struts are not a terribly difficult job but unless you have special tools get the whole arm don't try to swap bushings.

I had the tool in my my Amazon wish list for years. Ever since the price dropped from $300 to $150. Then a few days ago I was looking through my BMWЯ wish list and there's a note in red that says "the item's price had dropped 67% " holy crap. I immediately put in my cart.

The tool I bought. Could possibly turn into a pass-around but it's so heavy I'm not sure how much better a deal can be had from pass around.

For suspension arms only use OEM. I use fcpeuro.com whenever it makes sense.

The tool could be a one time use since it is probably made in China. Most DIYer won't oil the threads on the threaded rod so the threads end up being galled.

I have that kit. I've used it twice. I greased the threads before I used it.

Great find, Andrew!

I'm seeing that the average price was $90 then $80 over the last few years.

Is that correct?

Not sure I have to do my rears yet though. Only ~42k miles on my 04.

Agreed, I would definitely grease before use, I guess most people just don’t realize how much easier that makes the process and how much better it is for the tool.

Nice score, and thanks for the heads up! I ordered one right away! For $50, it's worth it even if it's a one time thing. But, I own 3 of these things so we know odds are, I will be doing it again!

I had it saved in my watch list for four years at $150. Suddenly it's $50.

It's well made of have been ok with the $150 price if other things didn't keep getting in the way in the budget front.

Absolutely grease the threads! Who doesn't grease threads on something used more than once? It does come with ball bearing thrust bearing which is awesome.

Yes that is true. I went to rent a hub puller and the threads are shot
