Welcome!
Best way to search the site is to use the site function in Google Search Go to Google Search and enter this: - site:xoutpost.com BBK brakes kit E53 This will use the Google Search engine to locate those terms (BBK, brakes, kit, E53) ONLY on the Xoutpost web site. Works a treat and is far more useful than the forum search. It will return results like this... https://xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-forums/...-bbk-pron.html |

E70 X5M Brembo's fit on the E53 front hubs without modification. You just need the E70 bolts and brake pad warning sensor. The E53 brake hose fits without issue. It will only require 20 inch wheels and 15-20mm spacers. Check out my thread to see some pictures, around page 8-11. |

Have a look at this site Sent from my iPad using Xoutpost.com |
Welcome to the forum. I shudder at the thought of upgrades to a 3.0 X5, ours has cost enough just maintaining it with factory parts!
Here's a door handle replacement DIY video I made, should help you get the job done: https://youtu.be/ge7-HJ0DUz0 Most people just replace the door handle carrier, have never heard of cables being replaced. I would recommend going with a Genuine BMW carrier vs. the aftermarket if you plan on keeping the car for a while. You can use a site like realoem.com to look up parts diagrams, it will be very helpful during your ownership! |
