2004 3ltr petrol strange brakes???
 

hi, i have noticed recently that when i press the brake pedal lightly, i get very little, then it seems tobe a bit of a jerky bite. it does not pull to either side.
what could cause this?

Some common causes....

Grease on brake rotor from recent work.

ABS block problem (air in block or bad ABS)

The N62 has a vacuum pump so maybe a somewhat similar system on the 3.0

Do you feel shake in the wheel and does this happen reliably at 40-50 mph?

If yes to these questions it's most likely control arms.
