E box fuse description
I keep blowing a 30 amp fuse in the 5 fuse eblock located on the passenger side fuse/ relay compartment.
Does anyone know what each fuse in the block controls? Thanks in advance |
Can you give more specs of the vehicle.

If yes, look at the list for what F62 is for...looks like it may be the secondary air pump. Are you having issues with that component? http://www.bimmerboard.com/members/q...ex%20Image.jpg https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/obj/CVB2kgZZ |
So we are talking about fuses in E-box?
https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/obj/CUX1RYHl Which one of them keeps blowing? What symptoms and trouble codes you have when the fuse blows? https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...ronics/kgWzRuD |

Looks like #2 feeds DME, AGS, Intake Control Valve, Charcoal filter valve, Idle Actuator, Vanos valves and secondary air pump valve.

Locate connector X6964 (in E-box) where all those red/white/yellow wires are bundled together. Take them apart. Measure which one of them comes from the fuse supply. For rest of them measure resistance against ground. When you find which wire is shorted keep it separate. Connect all the rest back together and check with diagnostics which component is missing. After that you start investigating the faulty component or wiring from the bundle to that component.

Thanks for the info. x6964 is the 5 fuse ebox? And are you saying remove the fuse that is blown and see what component is missing? or am I reading it wrong? When I search X6964 nothing comes up. Just verifying. Thanks |
