Avin 4 / Android head unit questions
 

I installed an Avin 4 head unit, with Resler iBus app and Torque/Elm adapter.

(Quick point - I am not an Android expert, so please excuse elementary questions.)

I got the Torque app working. It took me a while to realize that the adapter uses WiFi, not Bluetooth. Any reason I shouldn't change to a BT elm adapter?

Anyway, I applied an update to the unit, and I no longer see the Torque app. I went to the Play Store, thinking I needed to re-download the app, but the app showed as installed.

I am able to open it from the Play Store, and It seems to work fine. I can see it in the list of apps in settings.

How can I get a Torque icon to appear on the "desktop"?

Also, in the settings/applications, there are 5 instances of App Launcher. Is this normal?
