Videos didn't show if the noise is RPM dependent meaning most likely something belt driven or constant which could be secondary air pump.

80stech 03-01-2021 10:41 AM

What happens if you move the steering wheel??

Takimo 03-01-2021 12:03 PM

@Clavurion, RPM is normal, it stay consistent

@80tech, never tried that, will give a try when it get cold

Clavurion 03-01-2021 12:11 PM

I was meaning does the noise change according to revs. And if it does 80stech suggestion is one possibility leading to power steering pump.

Check the level on PS fluid it definitely sounds like ps pump. Wife's X sounds very similar when cold if the fluid is low. The moaning sound (pitch, volume) will change by RPM and steering.

Takimo 03-01-2021 12:28 PM

@Andrew @Clavurion Oh ok will try that

Takimo 03-02-2021 10:58 AM

all right here the video of the steering test skip @ 0:50 to hear it, i think we find the culprit, is it more likely a low fluid or dead power steering ?

You'll have to tell us. Top off and try again. Wife's sounds like that when low and cold. I top of with AT-205 to help slow the leaks.
