I can't....nay, REFUSE to believe that OB actually drives that vehicle. There's no dirt anywhere!!

What's a word that's +3x order of magnitude more than "jealous" ?

They do get dirty from driving in the rain but it is just a simple easy clean up. I usually go under them for a couple of days once a year to inspect and clean.

The X5 has nothing on my E46 as far as a clean undercarriage

Driving in the rain IS my cleanup. :D

It all depends on what you're starting from.

If anyone is considering the QuickJack, they just emailed me the following promo:
"Get $150 off your purchase of any new QuickJack model today! Enter promo code OFF150 at checkout on QuickJack.com. Ends 3/12/2021."

No idea if that works, is a good deal, etc. No affililation. Hope this helps someone.

I used a Foxwell NT-510 to reset my TC clutch adaptations but I believe DIS will also do the job. Unfortunately, INPA and PA Soft 1.4 do not have the ability.

The last tip I could leave you with is to remove any fill plugs BEFORE removing the drain plugs. You want to make sure you have a way to get oil back in once drained. I have heard of horror stories of stuck or frozen fill plugs that round off trying to remove them leaving the job a cluster f***.

Just want to thank you for all the info. I am wondering how many miles you put on the X5 after you did the transmission fluid change with Valvoline? Also, is your Foxwell able to read fluid temperature in the transmission? I think I might need to get Foxwell to replace my car soft. Debating if maybe I should spend a little more and get something like Launch which would allow me to read BMW, Porsche and maybe some other a German vehicles?

Not directed at me. However I also used MaxLife and it made my shifts much smoother. My ATF was probably low, not worn out. I replaced the mechatronic sleeve (E53 N62). The o-rings on that are likely what had caused fluid to leak. I've put less than 2k miles since I did the swap about 1.5 years ago.

My Foxwell 520 pro can read the ATF temperature. Also, you can purchase support for additional car brands from Foxwell.

I've been running Redline with very good results. actually smoothed out my shifting. Also when I dumped the original fluid there was way more than the stated capacity.

Correction: I'm running ZF in the trans and redline everywhere else.

Took 30min to setup and haven't lifted the X5 with it yet, but tried the BL-7000SLX and frame extenders on the M5.

^ not sure why my image isn't displaying

I should have bought it before doing rod bearings on the M5 and transmission rebuild on the X5. I think it will left the X5 high enough to hit the garage door if I use the truck adapters.
