I'm glad you're handy with a dremel. I was too scared using it afraid of cutting the camera cable. When cutting the camera stem, leave just enough for the camera M8 stainless steel nut to hold the camera in place, but you don't want to leave too little. So make a trial fitting first to know the exact spot to cut.

In any case, it might be easier for most to just drill the car's body - at least for me it was, rather than risking destroying the camera. The car's body that is drilled is completely hidden and free from moisture and such, so it really does no harm or risk anything.

My head unit doesn't have a screen but I'd like to get a back up camera as well.
And I'm thinking why not also get a front and rear camera at the same time.

I like it because you can view the footage on the screen if you need to, without having to transfer it first.
