Airbag in the read of headliner? 8380742

I removed my headliner to reapholster it and found a couple of connectors at the back of the headliner.
I did some googling but didn't find much.
Does anyone have an actual airbag connected there?
What does it look like?

There's a couple of rear airbags (curtain) variations: -

The side-mount cylinder units look like this: -

My 2005 has the side-mount cylinder version.

This is really cool, thank you!
I wonder how they deploy. Won't they crush the person in the back with the headliner lol?

The headliner has a flap that allows the side "curtain" to deploy. It comes down directly against the window.

Not an E53 but rather like this...

I see what you mean, the airbags explode through the cut outs I circled in red

I wonder what the 4 green cutouts are 4. Once you install the plastic covers, they don't seem to serve any purpose

The four green cut-outs are for the cargo net anchors.

Thank you! Never seen a cargo net on X5 before.

I have one for mine. Sometimes called a pet-barrier.

It can be fitted in two locations - behind back seats or once the back seats are folded down, behind the front seats (as above). The anchors open to fit the net frame, then close again once it is fitted (or not in use).

Comes in it's own bag and clips into trunk (boot) with the two forward tie-down points.
