check engine
ok kind of bad news, the other post i talk about replacing valve cover gasket, and following the repair on my way home i get a check engine, so i went back to the garage and he told me its a gas trim code and he will erase it and come back if the check engine come again... but it never came... what it mean ? problem went away ? or problem still here but ECM took in consideration we knew the problem and wont show a check engine since it was erase ??
theres no way the problem disappear by magic in my believe so whats the bottom line ??? |
check engine
Quite often an error will trip once only. Especially after a major repair.
Do you recall the precise error? Fuel trim error can be reset in a way that forces the ecm to re learn the fuel trims. In this case if there is a problem it will come back but might take a month or more. At this point you don't have to worry but you can use a scanner that will show real-time fuel trims and see if they are normal |
well, he only told me is a gas trim error...
i dont have a scanner, might be time to get one, any suggeestion ? |
I use foxwell nt-510. The 520/530 are the newer version
