Seat memory/rear door locks

Does the key have to be inserted for seat memory? I tried to get my #1 setting to work and it didn't do anything. I only few moved it a few inches to reach a trickle charger cord. I'll try with the key inserted. If it does not require an inserted key, I wonder if the module is my "no sleep" mode issue. Is the circuit tied to the rear door locks and hatch? After a heavy rain fall, all of them stopped working. The fuse I've replaced before is numbered like 24 or so. I can't remember. I'll have check my notes.

Seat memory works without key. In fact works better to the key. (tap vs. hold). I don't think it will store new memory without the key.

Also the seat memory will restore a position as key is used, from remote separately from in the door.

I would occasionally have my seat/steering move to a ghost position when I unlocked with remote. The only fix was to push the memory b position I wanted open the window and reach out and lock/unlock the door with the key blade to set the use with key position to sync to my memory 1 position.

Lots of stuff tied into the central locking so trouble shooting can be homework.

Door open or closed?

The door has to be closed for the seat cycle will complete on its own. With the door open the button must be held down to complete the cycle.

AceEngineer,
Cool, I prefer to push the button than sit in it and let it do it's thing. Less wear and tear on seat motors.

Next, fuse 20 and 24 are good. So now I have dig further on why rear doors and hatch won't unlock. I think the GM3 finally bit the dust.

That is not my experience.

When I open the door and tap a memory number the seat will move to position without holding the button down.

Also, with key on, the mirrors will move fully without holding the button but the seat I need to hold the button.

(I know this because I use m3 to aim my mirrors down for parking and m1 to return them to normal).

Thinking about it. Mine has worked both ways! So what does that mean? Bad module? Low battery voltage?

The tap to set is meant for when you aren't sitting in the car.

What can affect that: door open, key in butt sensor (I don't think driver side has one).

I use tap to change my mirror settings with engine on but it won't move the seat unless I hold.
