How’s this for a compatible write up? I found it searching when I first bought the X5.

That is what I wanted, but i think I will put the mod on hold for a bit.
Has anyone done this ??

As already mentioned people have different preferences and ways of doing it but I've done 4 of these on my BMW's with probably 100,000 miles of trouble free operation.
I prefer Spal for quality and high CFM (moves a lot of air) and it's very quiet plus it runs on its own circuit:
