Phantom bolts

I’m struggling to find the right bolts to use on a couple of misc parts for my new motor. RealOEM numbers are grayed out for the bolts, but everything else in the assemblys shows up fine. Not common parts, but I’m hopeful someone can help with these.

Bolts for the oil filter connection flange: 11421435096

Shorter Front differential connection bolts. Real OEM shows a part number for the long bolt, but the shorter bolt is grayed out.

Thanks much

Somebody had the same problem recently. I put in a different car of similar vintage and found the bolt listed.

Post year/model/motor.

I looked at both 4.4 and 4.6 e53s of different years on RealOEM and these bolts are still grayed out. The info on the oil flange in particular is suspect as it only shows one o-ring required where two definitely are. So something may be gooned up with RealOEM on this part.

My 4.4i is a 2002, vin 5uxfb335x2lh36976, but I'm swapping the M62 4.6 into the car. The 4.6 motor is brand new and I'm building it up before doing the swap. It was assembled in 2020 so I've been selecting the last 4.6is build date available on RealOEM to determine parts. 90+ percent are the same as the 4.4, including this flange and associated parts. The diff shows a part number for the longer bolt that attaches it to the oil pan, but not the shorter bolts.

Look for a repair kit on fcpeuro for the part. When I bought my OFHG as a kit it included all the bolts. They are line item so it will show all the sizes

ebay! I've found all kinds of replacement bolts from there. Especially difficult to find sizes or kits.

Buying not the problem trying to find out the size

I appreciate the input gents. I can try some different sizes, and measure the depth of the bolt hole on the new motor. Or, I could just rob the pieces off my old motor when I pull it, but I am trying to keep it as complete as possible in case I find a buyer for it. Not likely, but who knows.

I did ask FCP Euro and got a reply back that since I didn't have a Vin for the new motor, they couldn't really help. Seems odd. But regardless, I replied with the VIN off my 4.4 that the 4.6 is going into, since the motors (and piece in question) are common.

What I've found when that happens is that the bolt is considered part of an adjacent or connected assembly. Not sure why, but sometimes you can come up with fastener by looking at the connected part.

Yup I've seen the same. The connected assembly is the block or head I couldn't figure out which

Crazy I spent way too much time trying to find the answer. I worked on a 740 and 540 with the same engine; they of course both use a different mounting method for the oil hoses.

I think you're just going to have to pull out the bolt and measure. The ghost 16 is only listed once so should be the same in all three locations.
