Temp gauge between 1/4-1/2
 

My temp gauge at key on is at 1/4, then after 20 minutes of driving stays steady at 1/2. I realize the factory temp gauge is basically a glorified "idiot light."

The car runs great, a/c ice cold, no overheating smells. Just a great running engine.

Taking too long to get to "idiot" indicates the tstat not closing tight.

Unlock the dashboard OBC and monitor couldn't l coolant temp real-time from a cold start. It should climb to a district temp and lock on. Once it opens the temp should only change a few degrees.
