4x4 light on how to fix it
 

Hey I have a 2004 bmw x5 e53 3.0i

And the 4x4 light is on and never left. I replaced the cluster btw and the 4x4 light was showing. Anyone know how to clear the light? I tried turning the wheel left and right but it didn't work.

Why did you replace the cluster? Were you hoping that would solve the problem to your 4x4 issue?

Did you scan for codes? What were they? This shouldve been your first step. Next should've been research...

my old cluster was broken so I replaced it with a used one from the junk yard.

I scanned for codes but the only codes I got was p1619.

I looked on YouTube and someone changed the transfer case actuator.

"P" stands for powertrain, and those related codes are going to be more for emissions related items and are generic.

Get a better scanner. Could be a world of issues...ABS, T-case actuator, wheel speed sensor, no communication, no power, ETC....
