Tensioner Pulley question
I'm replacing the OFHG on my son's 2001. I noticed he needed new serpentine belts for both the main drive and the ac. I figured I replace the tensioner pulley and idler pullys while I'm in there.
The old pulleys have a large center hole and seem to rest on a the tensioners shoulder using the star bolt. The new pulleys are different. They have a back on them and the threaded part of the star bolt fits through. Are these correct? Realoem seems to show the right part number. New pulley below. Old ones have a large opening all the way through. https://www.fcpeuro.com/public/asset...jpg?1623953399 Old pulleys look like these https://www.rockauto.com/info/315/19...mary__ra_p.jpg |
The tensioner pulleys are different depending on if you have the hydraulic or spring tensioner. There are 2 different idler (for the main belt) pulleys as well, one offset and one not, so something else to watch out for. There is only one A/C tensioner so that shouldn't be an issue.
