SOS button or wiring.
 

When did the SOS button get installed on the X5?
My 2003 does not have one, nor the wiring.
Interesting, that my wagon with same birthdate
(February 2003) has the wiring for the SOS.

Anyone in the X5 community with 2003 build have the wiring?

My 2004 has it so probably started in LCI models. No one answers the calls anymore, now defunct feature

That's a lost revenue stream right there - they could've relayed the call to the nearest dealer parts and service department:rofl:. Pssst, hopefully they don't see this post as they may just decide to implement the crooked feature:bustingup.

I really just wanted it to light up in the overhead.
I do have the wiring in my2003 wagon.
Guess I will use it there.
