Solved!
Replaced the spark plugs, valve cover gasket, fuel filter-judging by condition, all needed to be done. No change to issue. Then replace coil packs and viola!
All good-no codes and runs like a champ! Thanks for all the replies-just thought I'd throw this out there. Great forum!!!!! |
Nice! Did you install the single prong iridium plugs? I used NGK coils on mine. After swapping those parts, when I fill up, the range gauge broke the 500 mile mark. The latest 334 miles went 24 MPG by Consumr1 readings. Speeds were 75-80 MPH the entire way.

I did use the single prong-haven't driven enough to get accurate mileage-used German made coil packs -highly rated but a lot less $$$-I'll try to track down what brand exactly....That's killer MPG-again thanks for your help!
