Brake Pulsation - 2004 X5 3i
Hi everyone,
I just replaced pads and rotors (Powerstop brand) on all 4 wheels. For the fronts, I even replaced the calipers (some other less known brand). Everything is fine. However, the other day I noticed that if I hard brake at about 65 MPH, I get a pulsation. And it wasn't fun either! With soft brake I have no problem whatsoever. Looking for your insights please. Thank you. Must add that I didn't replace the slider pins, and didn't apply a lot of lub to them either. All the bolts were torqued per spec. |
Do you feel in the steering or mostly in the pedal.
There is a different part that can cause a hell of a shake in the steering wheel more than the pedal. |
Sounds like sticky glide pins, especially if the pins got greased bad idea (don't ask) but then again I still bed my brakes old school style since I drive a touch "fast" in East Jesus.
