Headlight adjuster
Hey everyone have a quick question about the adjuster is there a way to remove that black piece of the headlight adjuster so I can use on my headlights
|
Most of the headlight adjustment hardware is "snap in" and can be snapped out say from a donor lamp fixture. I don't see any way to do in place, you'd have to remove the lense assembly (which is not terrible; find a YouTube video).

Yeah my lens was open cuz i had to replace/fix the angle eye rings and when i removed my head light i noticed the that black thing on the back of the adjuster was missing so the only thing I need to replace / remove is the black thing the turns on the back of the headlight .. and I do have a doner headlight I have there I keep for pieces I just can't figure out how to pull out that little black knob

Yup. I've pulled those out of old housings to donate to other vehicles. Most of that hardware is press fit (snap together).
I would see if you can find at a pick and pull yard. Find a light assembly that is so frosted nobody would want it. Look for a YouTube video how to remove. It is possible it's so well snapped in it might need to be cut out of the donor light (and possibly the broken old one cut out also). There is a small chance I could still find the ones I took out of my old lamps but I haven't seen in quite a while. |
Well I have an extra pair of housing in my garage I just can seem to pull it out and I been going crazy trying to find a video on youtube and no luck on finding one

If they are scrap housing do like I did: saw it out. They are meant to lock in like fish hook barb. One way but you should be able to remove destructively and then replace the defective one on your active housing. You can also learn how it goes together
