Reactivating rear air suspension
2001 3.0. I am ready to reactivate the rear air suspension after a refresh and the Foxwell 510 doesn't offer that feature. Is there any work around like disconnecting the battery? Just putting the fuse back in didn't do the job.

Was it coded out to keep from getting a SLS error on the cluster? If so, you'll need to use NCSExpert to change the vehicle order and add the feature code back for rear SLS

Good Morning, I solved the problem...
I keep getting error messages when I try and search this site. I remember seeing a post about how to do this. I had to do a Google search that aimed me back to the X5 Outpost thread I was looking for... I put my 3 ton long reach floor jack under the rear differential with a 2x6 and slowly lowered the car on it's wheels. Articulating the level sensors activated the air pump and reinflated the rear air suspension. I now have a well behaved X5 with no unauthorized lane changes anticipated. At 185K miles I'm sure it was past due for the refresh. Now on to rear brakes... |
