Oh, I do not have the dreaded valve stem seal issues.

Eh. Have you seen how badly domestic trucks are built?

The amount of incredibly dumb poor quality shit I've had to chase on my GMC is staggering. And they're definitely not the worst.

And to be clear, we've had the GMC since new.

No, I am not driving Ford, Ram, or Chevy - they drive like my boat :D I did own Lincoln Aviator and the handling was just horrible. Keep in mind, I will be doing towing occasionally, for the most part it's going to be my daily. I made up my mind, it's going to be either X5 or Cayenne.

If you are a DIY person, make sure to keep in mind the amount of Porsche sites that available to help you diagnose/suggest repairs, compared to Bimmer sites.
I HAVE towed with my N62B44 engine and its super nice, but its was only 3 times in its ownership with me (10+ years) and bad valve stems issues may exist on the N62, but my mechanis even told me its not a big deal if it exists. It LOOKS bad, but doesn't really cause a detriment to the engine (just keep an eye on oil level, WHICH one should do ANYHOW)
