Sounds like the water pump has seized. Bearing weep hole on water pump has leaked coolant. And eventually the belt has disintegrated due to heating up and too much strain and slippage.

Here is a video with the sound, let me know what you think. I also now think that an issue could have appeared because I overfilled my coolant reservoir significantly. I'm loosing coolant from somewhere and I filled it up way to much.

Wow, time to replace everything but the alternator! Both tensioner and idle pulleys are bad. The tensioner is shot. The water pump doesn't sound healthy. No pulley should wiggle like that! Put all those under tension and it will be loud.

Right on, will replace everything then. One thing I'm slightly concerned about is installing all of these new components and this not being the issue.... Do you really think this could be the cause of such an issue? The car drives, but is not drivable or safe by any means. Very strange RPMs, very strange shifting, and very strange acceleration.

If the failing water pump is causing the belt to slip (and it seems this is so, from the state of the old belt and the noises!) then the alternator won't but producing the correct output and all manner of other issues may pop up...

I might have an old pump I can throw back on just to see, I’m also curious to see if I can return all of these parts, most of them aren’t over a year old

Replaced everything, and got it to run fine, just now I think its just a misfire issue. scanned codes got cyl 2 and 3 misfire. but I broke off a bolt in the hydraulic tensioner so one step forward two steps back

I'm not familiar with their return policies, you'll have to check. Was hoping you got them from FCP. They have liberal return policies and a lifetime warranty on everything they sell.

Good to know, for future purchases I'll go through them.
