Oil leak
 

Greetings,

This is my first oil leak on the E53 3.0 (2006). I noticed a wet spot under the front passenger wheel, upon further inspection, I see that some oil is dripping onto the front passenger side spring perch. Any idea of the source and/or remedy for this?

That sounds like a leaking shock in the strut.

Was about to say the same thing. Pull up the rubber boot at the top of the strut and check for oil in there.

I appreciate the responses. If it does happen to be a strut leak, it will give me an excuse to purchase a lift kit : P
