E53 X5 4.8 Wiring diagram anyone?
 

My 2005 X5 is blowing fuse #31 over and over - which is the 5amp that the starter needs to crank the car. Stranded me twice in traffic now. BLOWS!

Mechanic says there's a short "somewhere" likely behind the dash - but doesn't have a wiring diagram to chase fuse #31?

Any ideas where I can look to help him? TIA.

The whole back half is wiring

Fuse F31 is a supply for DME (engine ECU) and OBD connector.

On the diagram the connector numbers work as hot links so you can see more specific diagrams and connector location.
