e53 N62 2005: Won't start, no power to FP, fuse ok, Relay ok, no error codes.

Hi

Got stuck with a broken fuel pump a few days back. Put a new pump in and the car ran great around the block. Left it over Christmas and when back it refused to start again. Now I have no 12v to the fuel pump. Checked wire, fuse and both relay's. Checked fault codes. All good. Car will start but only runs for a short while at very low rpm.

Any ideas' what I could try next. Found a few posts about this but not 100% my case. Some suggest crank sensor?

Look into this. IT is a common problem and has lot's of fuses. I had a similar issue and it was this module. Plug/play

Thanks! Will check!

also something to note is if you installed an aftermarket fuel pump, some of them usually have issues where the crimp style hose clamps. on the pump itself it is not clamped down during assembly and the hose pops off the pump

You where both right. The electronic box brought back power to the fp but car still wouldnt start. Took it out and hose had popped off.

Car is up and running again. Thank you both.
