And..... sorted! Thanks Brembo!

Braking is now glassy smooth, effective and silent.

Sweet! New rotors and pads made a huge difference on mine too. Feels like I can drive it hard and not miss a beat slowing down or taking high speed curves.

Can't get over now smooth and quiet the brakes are now - last time I use ever cheap rotors!! (and actually, the Brembo rotors only cost $50 more for the pair!).

I didn't actually install new pads. Normally, I would always do so when installing new rotors but in this case the pads were changed recently and were like new. Bendix Euro +.

They didn't take long to bed in - I've driven 250kms on them now and they are working great, with very even, light scuffing on the rotors.

Glad to hear it was a simple fix, Wayne! My friend and I replaced the pads on my 2004 for the first time last fall. We didn't replace the rotors because they still had plenty of life in them.

The pads I chose were Akebono EUR681 and EUR683. Distinctly different feel than the original pads, nowhere near the initial bite. They work fine though. No noise or discernible brake dust. The original pads hadn't hit the wear sensors yet, so we reused the sensors.

Yup apparently strong engines, mines looking a tad tatty now, those crusty headlamps, buggered panoramic, sagging headliner and tempted just to pull it all out and paint /dye wot i find underneath, scratches on bumpers due to kids scooters handlebars and other accidents....etc etc
