Rear washer pipe blocked

Hi.
Has anyone had issues with the rear window washer pipe getting blocked and resolved it.
I replaced the pump and cleaned the water bottle and filter.
I took the spoiler off and the jet is clear
I tried soapy water via the pump
And I’ve tried compressed air back down the pipe 250kpa
But no joy, there is no leak because the water dose not move.
I have also looked on line for a diagram which way the pipe runs but am unable to find one.
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks

It’s ok, found a non return valve by the spray jet which is blocked, just in case anyone else has the same issue

Nice. Is it on the upper hatch or bodyside?

You have to take the spoiler off, it’s behind there.
The filters in the tank don’t take all the crap out so some over the years has gotten to the one way valve and blocked it. Easy to remove and open, still after 16 years it’s not bad I suppose 😁

Cool. Thanks! Maybe one day when I have nothing to do, I'll pull off the spoiler.

It’s easy enough 5 T 30 torx heads, once out pull back as it’s on a lip

Spoiler is very easy to take off. 5 mins if you've never done it before. I had to get to it when the 3rd brake light wiring broke at the hinge.

I had the opposite problem when I bought my X5. Every time I accelerated, a dribble of water would run down the rear window out of the washer jet!

The non-return valve under the spoiler (61688220822) had become stuck open and was just letting it run out freely! Replaced it and everything was good again! :D

SirHiss, thanks for a part number. I'll add it to my FCP cart as a future replacement part. :bmw:

Be careful when you pull the spoiler. There are two little u shaped plastic bits at the corners that can easily get lost. They may be spacers, or for fit maybe where the upper spoiler ‘lid” joins the lower part, at the corners. Pull the top part off slowly and carefully and you’ll see them, before they go flying into the driveway.
