2001 m62tub44 crankcase pressure issue [solved]

Hi, I got a 2001 4,4 X5. When I bought it it had real bad chain rattle so I replaced the guides and chains. Comp tested all good 180psi +/-5% across all 8. When I finished the job fired it up, ran lovely, sounds lovely, drove out the workshop, job jobbed so I thought. Left it idling to make sure I had no coolant leaks etc. After a few mins the car hiccuped, and started spewing smoke and oil out the exhaust and leaking oil at the back of the engine. Shut it all off and replaced the drain hoses on pcv and osv and the pcv plate and osv itself as they were rotten and split. Put it all back together and and it's pressurising the crankcase. If I fire it up and pull the dipstick it spews oil out. Ive been over it again to check that no hoses are linked etc and all seems good. Can anyone give me some direction as to where I've gone wrong as I'm kinda scratching my head at this point. All I can think of at this point is that it's because I've not used a genuine BMW pcv plate? Please help, I wanna drive this now, and get rid of my diesel jap scrap.

Only genuine PCV on the rear of the intake is to be used in my experience. Others can fail as soon as their first use. What brand did you go with?

Ok I'll get one ordered up tomorrow. The one gsf supplied is a brand called topran.

Not yet, I'm waiting for parts to come from Germany. Hopefully arrive this week. Really hoping I can get this working right so I don't have to break it for parts 🙈

Update,
Problem solved.
When I did chain guides I changed valve covers for some freshly powder coated ones. Checked part numbers and it all matched, fitted them, thought no more. Went to redo the pcv today, pulled inlet manifold and as it was all off I noticed the hole in bank 2 valve cover didn't go all the way through! Whipped the valve cover off and slung a 14mm drill through it, chucked it all back together and all is good. Got negative pressure on the dipstick tube now instead of a fountain of oil. Gonna be smoking a while as I got over 5l in the exhaust system . Happy days, job jobbed.
