Red Light on Head Unit
All,
Sorry if the has been covered elsewhere…since 3G has been disabled the NAV head unit has the no cell signal error light on, similar to the past when in a no signal area. I know this is due to there being no 3G service…does anyone know whether this can be disabled through coding or similar, turned off by unplugging a component in audio system, or best to just cover with a nice, small piece of black tape? Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
probably just go the black tape route, OR buy a BlueBus and connect it and get the green light :)

Or code out the whole telephone system.

Thanks gents, have a BlueBus sitting in the box, guess I need to install it and use it for its intended purpose as well. Appreciate the feedback.

What's a bluebus?
|
Bluebus is an aftermarket unit that provides bluetooth streaming audio and telephone and works with the existing BMW audio and phone mic. It does replace the cd changer if your vehicle has one installed. It is compatible with e39 e46 and e53. Best bet is to Google search “Bluebus”, you should find independent reviews and link to purchase if interested. I purchased soon after they became available and have in four vehicles, works very well.
