e53 xenon help
 

hello i have a x5 e53 2001 4.4i and i was given a 2005 e53 full front end bonnet wings bumper lights crash bar etc all in colour i have fitted all of it no problems until the lights my x5 had xenons from the factory and the replacement ones are xenon as-well i did all the wiring the indicators work rings work main beam works he xenons work if the engine is off fine and if i use the home function all is ok but as soon as i start the car the xenons flash fast and dont stop until the engine is switched off it driving me crazy i cnt drive at night please help me thanks dan

Maybe have a look at some wiring diagrams to compare the 2001 to 2005, there are probably differences. It's funny that everything works when engine is not running, have you checked the charging voltage? Are the grounds all good?

Wonder if it needs a later version of the LKM. Or coding of the current one. Turn off one of the checks or something... :dunno:

Not many do a full conversion due to the body panels needed. Good luck.

Welcome to the board. Were older sets self adjusting? Does yours have a dash light sensor? When lights flash fast, usually a bad ground causes it.
