Interior Leakage?

After an 8hr round trip I get this drops of water on the passenger side floor. Is something backed up?
Car drives like a charm though.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...42d746f874.jpg

Most common thing is kinked roof drain hose, the other can be your A/C evaporator due to low refrigerant, etc.

Interesting... A/C shows none of the "Low refrigerant" indicators.

•System does not maintain low temps.
•Only luke warm air flows from vents.
•Light mist emits from vents.
•One side of the cockpit (driver's) far colder then the other side.
•Multiple charging a/c system within a years time.

You are describing low a/c problems and if you're not getting down to (hanging beef) temps then check that you have good pressure high/low sides, but also you could need to clean the evaporator if you never have before.

To be fair since you didn't say if it was raining on your trip, I will definitely lean more towards an evaporator issue.

Increased probability with cleaning the evaporator.
As a matter of fact it did rain a tad bit...most times it evaporates quickly.
As you well know condensation runs out of a tube top of the trans...I always notice it when driving and stopping in the city a puddle on the ground.
So what do you think about this theory...
If I'm on the highway at highway speeds could the wind force be pushing that condensation back up the tube?
Maybe I'm thinking [emoji848] too much tho.

The high mat drip would indicate an evaporator/condensation leak. The drip tube is likely clogged. I can't remember, I think it's reachable through the engine bay. Or at least visible. Weed eater string works great to snake drip lines. I use a thin line for pano roof drains.

No it wouldn't push the water back up the tube, but the faster you go the stronger the vacuum created on the open tube.. (delta-p) Bernoulli's principle

Cleaning the evaporator…hmmm. Haven’t ever done that and it sounds like I should?! Does that live buried up in the dash?

BMW service manual has a method of cleaning the evaporator from the engine compartment without removal. It does involve drilling a hole through the firewall and side of the evaporator.

They have a guide tool to drill exactly the right place.
