I think that's the connector i had 3.0 so i never worked with it myself but the pins for the selector switch go through 16 pin connector.

When my selector switch weren't haywire i got implausible values and the dash would report i was on e no gear sometimes and gear 54 sometimes or park and a gear!

Its nuts I get the trans fail message either after very long trips, then just vanishes after, OR the other day I was going down a step mountain and instead of pumping breaks to stop , I put the auto gearbox in M mode and selected a low gear so gearbox did work...it didn't like this result was transfail...then issue went away

There will likely be codes you can read that will give you a clue as to why it is doing this...

This is directly after a trans swap and not 1 single code which is why I believe it is only a cable adjustment issue...

Sorry - that was in response to omodos' trans failsafe issue, not your issue. ;)

Thanks Wpoll don't wanna hijack post, but as long as the error vanishes I wont delve further, already got cv boot needing changin, and lower front bushings again....

Well Iifted up the plastic shifter cover to inspect for anything off under there to discover the infamous cable bushing that appears to be broken and missing on one side with a good amount of free play when moving the shifter. Would this explain my issues? Check out the videos. The 2nd video is when it is to the left in sport mode. Photos attached are from an e46 forum post.

My shifter bushings where you can clearly see the right side is missing and the left side is popping out. I do not think I had this issue before the trans swap but it is possible the bushing was ready to go at any point...https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b1bb58559b.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c84bf41163.jpg
