FIXED!

It was the GMIII Module. Went to the pick-n-pull salvage yard. Funny enough when I went to pay for admission there was a small pile of return parts and right there was sitting an E53 GMIII module, talk about synchronicity; although I was hesitant to just buy that one being a return and all and went out into the yard anyways and got one from the same model year as my car. Had to resync the key fob to the car doing the position one 5 times then hold unlock button and press the lock button 5 times thing. Was a little worried for a minute as I couldn't seem to get it to work, turns out I just had to do the button sequence much quicker than I thought.

As for coding the GMIII to the car it seems that I didn't have to do that. From what I read you may have to do that if you use a GMIII module from a model that has less feautures from the car you are putting it in such as rain sensors options and etc. although not totally sure on the aformentioned.

Anyways thank you all for the input and replies, hope this can help someone in the future

So you didn't have to code the boneyard GMIII .
You installed it and now everything is functioning as it was? Without coding....correct?

Nice. My replacement clone was same year and number. However, it needed coding. I'm fortunate to have a cousin that works at a BMW dealership. He's the shop manager. He did an alignment and GMIII coding. I was amazed how well everything worked after I got it back. I need to find another GMIII to have a spare, The OEM one is toast.

Nope it seems to work just fine. Didn't have to code it.

I did read a post from this forum from 2016 where another person had success without coding the GMIII, linked below.

I haven't ran into anything that doesnt work yet. Interior lights working, windshield wipers working, both tail gate buttons working. If I run into anything not working ill be sure to post. Got the door key cylinder rebuild kit today, will be putting that on tomorrow

Same parts down off they fit too tight. Clean with the likes of brake clean and use some very thin low temp oil or graphite powder when fixing the cylinder. I've done that repair a few times.
