Amazingly today the temperature dropped to 50f and it rained (yea!) although the wife is making dinner for 40 single troops and it's supposed to be at the park outside so her acceptance of anything screwing up her plans has now led me to wear my body armor... Ha! I would cut a pie like that! Cake too! I'm the designated turkey carver. Poor birds. Only bones are left! I have strict instructions to separate dark and white meats.

WoW! THAT is one helluva spread!

We have friends in town that we spend the weekend with. We both smoke a turkey and the girls do the hard stuff. We then take the bones and fat and skin to make the roux for tomorrow's smoked turkey gumbo. Lawd... :thumbup:

Love that smoked turkey. [emoji39] I wish I had a smoker but it's almost impossible to get one over here, the cost of a Walmart style smoker is almost 1,000 USD and wood chips can go upto 100 USD a bag if it's something like JD flavored. US Butterball 22-24 lbs ran me 80 USD each (from the Embassy!!)

Wow! Thanks for feeding our troops! My best Thanksgiving overseas was taking pictures and watching the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders in Korea!
