WD40 doesn't freeze until -20F or so. It may keep the latch from freezing, however it dries out lubrication. I would follow up with lithium grease shortly after wards. We have our next winter blast next week. No precipitation though. I've only had the door frozen once since I've owned. Luckly, I was able to get the door open.
What can be used on the door seal too keep it from freezing? Mine has a new left front door seal. Moister shouldn't be a problem. |

We have been on a pretty steady diet of 2-3 storms a year though it is rare to see more than a few inches like last week. Today, we enjoy sunny skies and low 60F's. On Sunday, it'll be a high of 25F and a low of 12F. A real roller coaster until March when it will snow one frickin last time just to prove that it can so late in the season. :( |
