Gearbox ECU swap

Does anyone know if the ECU from the 4.6is transmision will work on the 4.4 one?

I’d be surprised if it would work. The 4.6 transmission has an extra clutch and torque converter. The difference in stall speeds would probable cause a problem.

I’ve got my 4.4 DME modified for the 4.6 motor and 4.4 gearbox. However, the 4.4 DME will run the 4.6 motor so perhaps this is the way to go.
