Rear air suspension control module water damaged

Heh all, so after the cyclone hit and, because of the amount of rain, my rear cargo bay battery compartment ended up with half filled with water. So I came out to my car and the rear suspension had collapsed. The rear suspension control module got fried. I have been looking for a replacement part no. 37141092396. I see there are ones with a white label and others where the information is printed on the black plastic (i have the rear suspension only one). I am thinking the printed ones are from the earlier years of 2000 - 2006. eg 2002. Can anyone confirm? The ones with the white sticky label are date stamped and most of them are from late 2002 - 2006. X5 E53 4.4i 2005 is my model.

cheers

If you are in Brisbane, there is a yard wrecking an X5 with air suspension which you might be able to grab the part if it hasn't already been water affected.

ok, just been on peguinparts and apparently the module has changed shape and has a part number of 37146773999.

To get the correct current part number jump on Realoem, put in your Vin, then your part number, and it will give you the current part numbers and also all the cars it was found in so you can find at the wreckers.

Oh ok, any idea of the wreckers name as I have tried a few.

Ok, I knew the white one was not for me as it is for two axel systems which realoem now highlights. Thanks. I have used realoem before. I thought it was a bit strange. Peguin parts was a bit misleading which got me confused with the shape. So, my original part number is correct and now back to my question about white label or printed on.

So, I have purchased one with the printing on the plastic rather than the white sticker that I originally had. We will see if it works. I suspect that it will as it has the same part number. I suspect that BMW changed to the white sticker at some point, maybe to save costs.

Solved

Yep, all good. Another interesting fact is that there is a pink coloured relay that only applies to the facelift models. The other models use a light green, etc. The pink relay has a different part number so don’t get caught out with the relay they say is suitable for the facelift as it has a different configuration.

cheers, and glad I have my suspension back.
