Fuse #75 Parasitic Battery drain

Hi all, well my electronic modules got fried near the battery in the lower cargo bay area due to water in the area. My suspension control module went and my radio and my compressor. Eventually got these replaced. I have another module which I believe is fried which is the tv module in that area but is located under a plastic cover.

The reason for this thread is that I am getting a whopping 2A drain in fuse #75. According to the manual the fuse feeds 1)Multi-information Display (MID) which I don't have; 2)Navigation 3)On-board monitor and 4) sound system.

My question is until I get under the plastic cover way down under the spare wheel, has anyone driven the car around without fuse #75? I did a google on it and it says that it is related to the transmission control module but sure this can't be right as there is no mention of the connection in the service manual.

Obviously, as a temp measure I can drive with it and pull it out when I am parked.

cheers

Fuse 75 feeds only items such as you have mentioned: -

CD Changer
MID
Nav. Control Unit
On-Board Monitor
Video Module

I can't see why you cannot drive with fuse 75....

Fuse 75 current

Actually, I have another question for the forum. When the car is switched off everything goes into sleep mode after a certain time and the orange light next to the gear lever goes out.

I am wondering if 1.8 - 2.0Amps is correct for fuse #75?. I may just be jumping to conclusions thinking it was a parasitic drain.

I replaced the video module and it still shows the same current using my 30A Fuse buddy (great little device this).

Update:

Interesting: In a BMW X5 E53, fuse 75 typically handles the fuel pump relay, drawing 1.8 to 2.0 amps.

Also, apologies. I do have a MID. It is the information in the instrument cluster that shows various vehicle information like speed, fuel level, and trip data.

Seems like the replacement of the video module did the job. Waited the 16 min or so for the orange light to go off near the gear shift then checked "fuse buddy" which was plugged into fuse position #75 and the 1.8-2.0A had disappeared and now sitting at zero. Also, now need to get a new towing module as the pins don't look too good after the water issue.
