4X4 DSC light issue

I wonder if anyone can help me with this one?

I have had my 4x4 DSC light on for a long time. Yesterday i changed the Steering wheel angle sensor and then cleared all the codes.
Also calibrated the sensor etc.

Everything works fine the light is no longer on and even the DSC button works.

The issue is when i start the car the 4x4 dsc light does not always go off by itself.
When i start driving and turning the steering wheel then the light will go off.

Is this normal or do i still have an issue with my steering wheel angle sensor?

Thanks

Scan for codes,? If the light comes on it should set a code

On my scanner it says that there are a few codes.
I have them listed below:

ABS (DSC) - 5EB1
LEW Steering wheel angle sensor - code 01

thanks

The abs error is a carry forward error from the SAS.

Seems like replacement is sending intermittent data.

Can you bring up real-time data with your scanner and observe the steering angle. Best if it makes a graph.

If it doesn't make a smooth graph it's got a problem.

You can calibrate any time with two lock to lock turns of the wheel (breast to be creeping along or on sand vs shred your tires). Clear codes, tree calibrate and see if the error comes back.

Yep as above......

Also you could try and gently pull the SAS apart and clean with contact cleaner if you are having intermittant issues.
