Wrong...my neighbor has problems with his 05 X3 3.0
200k +...I thought I could help because I have one...I can't.

I hope this helps...car cranks up, starts! However the idel is horrible! Idel bounces up and down...never smooths out!
Ask me what we've changed,I'll probably will say...yes

Throttle body...yes
Disa valve...yes
Idel control valve...yes
And so on......!

That could be a lot of things...
Please help us help you and tell us what you have done.

I would:

- Clean out idle speed control valve. I might also unplug it while idling to see if there is any change.

- Start it with MAF unplugged to see if that changes anything. If it does, I would do a proper smoke test (no cigar) and look for vacuum leaks.

- look at long-term fuel trims for a rich or lean coonditon.
