Lots of good advice here that looks applicable to your situation. If you dont have a good tech you will need some way of communicating with your car.

Marital advice is good too. EODguy was lucky he didnt get his mechatronic gearshift knob cut off in his sleep. :bustingup

Hahahaha she ain't happy having to deal with school runs so on so forth, not got a rental yet, I will take a gamble and see how it pans out after I drive up and down an steep slope this p.m...if it limps wont touch it till I take to other garage friday....

The lip at the front attaches to the reinforcing plate under the engine and the cover extends all the way back to the transfer case, hiding the entire transmission.

It has 11 fasteners holding it in place - 10x screws and 1x bolt. DAMHIK... :rolleyes:

Yup damn foam sure mine has burnt aged to a crispy consistency as i manged to poke finger in a crevace our of curiosity, @wpoll thanks for pics and clarification....covered 7miles today , no highway just timid driving no hill climbing or descending to try recreate issue....as everyone says need a good scanner...will do a motorway run tomorrow and see....read so many causes of the error head is spinning...and does seem odd the error code that left me limpmode for 3 days was undone after code reset ,if there was a permanent critical failure the error should resurfaced?dunno kids love X but this latest event n lack of garrages willing to troubleshoot is testing my love for beast

OP you can maybe start with INPA. Free to download in places online, all you will need is a cable.
