Would you trust this spring compressor for changing an X5 strut?

I bought this tool awhile ago in 2017 and it's worked great for a variety of other vehicles, but I'm guessing the X5 spring force is higher than anything I've changed previously. Would you trust it? I assume "GoPlus" is just a generic tool brand. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017H1AWMK...d_asin_title_1

Hmmm, the link comes up as a grandpa beige pleather swivel recliner chair!

I rented a coil spring compressor kit from Auto Zone when I did the rears on my wife’s Grand Cherokee a few years ago.

This is the exact style BMW uses. I would be ok using it.

I would be reasonably careful.

Looks better than the one I used when changing my (blown) front struts...

I was VERY careful using these! :wow:

I rented ones similar to these when I did mine many years ago. I was very careful as well.

Heck ya! Watching someone else do it! :bustingup

I'm too scared. :wow: I replace the entire strut.

I’m not a big fan of single clamps like that. I prefer dual clamps because I don’t like dying, but I’m risk averse.

No room on x5 for dual clamp from what I’ve read. Why BMW uses the side style.

Dual clamp worked for me. Had a learning curve. Had to be careful to move back and forth while tightening otherwise one would start walking around the spring trying to be on the same side as the other clamp.

Sounds more scary than one side model.
