Another thing I do want to mention when rebuilding the DISA valve. I noticed the metal clip that holds the vacuum pot lever to the bell crank was a little to low; giving the vacuum pot lever very little play to move up and down. I didn't know the instructions specifically stated not to do that before hand; the vacuum power lever needed a little play to move up and down the bellcrank lever. I was able to pry the metal ring up a little bit to allow for a little play but I didn't couldn't get enough of a grab to allow for more play without bending or breaking the damn thing. I believe thats the cause for the valve flap to drag a little when testing the diaphragm. I suspect driving it like this resulted in having this noise - im not sure yet. here's a pic to describe what i'm talking about. https://imgur.com/f7DYyI5 |
