That M5 mirror looks great! But I'm not sure if I can get used to it being smaller.

It's not too hard to install...there's some tips and/or article on the main page regarding the install. Just have to be really careful when twisting the mirror back onto the windshield.

This is one thing I miss when I drive the X instead of my F150.

I picked it up from Crevier BMW for $235 a couple of years ago. I only wanted the self-dimming feature, but the compass was a bonus :D

Both of the mirrors on the Pacific website are for cars with rain sensor. Does anyone know what you do for cars w/o rain sensor.

I'm not exactly sure what BMW mean when they say cars with or without rain sensor because the rain sensor itself is built into the windshield and has nothing to do with the mirror. The only thing I can think of is the wiring to the mirror itself might be different with or without rain sensor. When I bought mine 2 years ago, they did have an option for those with and without rain sensor...so just call up your dealer to confirm.
