Window tint driving me crazy!!

Ok, I got my two front windows tinted yesterday and this is really bugging me to no end. My past few cars I had to do this very thing, just tint the front two, resulting in the front always being lighter than the rears for legality reasons. This time around thought I would attempt to match the rest of the car and use a slightly darker tint (illegal). The end result is my front is now darker than my rear. I look at some folks pics on the forum and I noticed the same thing. Question: I’m I being overly anal here or what?

This is driving me crazy!! :cussing:

Thanks

Ummm...So what % did you have them install? The concensus seems to be 35% Madico tint to match the rears

Call up your tinting guy and have it re-done....this is one of those things that once you get it done right, its done and never needs to be redone. I bet they will be accomodating if you tell them the situation.

I think he used 20 something percent. In the past I used 35%, but this resulted in the rears being darker than the front. I had soo many problems with this tint place yesterday I don't know where to begin to tell you about it. I think I'm just going to cut my loses and have someone else do it.

I think 35% is a near perfect match. I have 27% front and they're slightly darker than rears, but nothing too noticeable so I can live with it.

Really there's no such thing as a perfect match....you can try to match as closely as possible.
