"BMW Assist Inactive" - what is this?

When I start my car I get this message. What does that mean? Sorry...new to my X5 and couldn't find much in the user's manual.

I get that message when I try to use Assist. I called them and they said everything on the Assist end is fine. They said I need to take the car in to the dealer to have them test some hardware... Which reminds me, I need to make an appointment.

I had the same thing happen to me and they ended up replacing the TCU. Remember to get the new passkey for the Bluetooth.
