I retrofitted PDC and used the panel with the extra buttons. I did not use the blank covers that came with it. I just left the dead buttons as is. It's not a big deal until a potential buyer sees them and wonders why the seat heaters don't work. :D Obviously my suggestion is to just use it as is.

Hi Kevin

I guess I may have to go that route ... BUT am hoping that there is some way to get the right switch with 4 buttons. I am still blown away that BMW offers such a switch with a new car but it is not available as a part for subsequent order. You and I know electrical switches do fail and if for whatever reason mine did and it is covered under warranty, and the replacement switch comes with extra buttons, I will not be a happy camper.

In any case, I am kinda bumped ... hate to go hunting at junk yards when this should be a simple part that is orderable.
